Typically homes in the UK need a battery with a storage capacity between 10-15kWh - but the exact amount of storage needed will vary depending on your individual needs.

Yes, all large electricity-powered devices such as battery storage, solar panels, heat pumps, and EV chargers need to be registered with the Distribution Network Operator (DNO). These devices, also known as energy assets, will impact electricity demand, so it’s important that networks are aware of them so they can manage demand on the system and avoid outages.

When you choose BOXT for your battery storage installation, we sort all of the necessary registration of your system, including notifying the DNO.
