How do heat pumps work?

Air source heat pumps use electricity to extract heat from the air outside, and then amplify and transfer it inside to provide heating and hot water for your home. Heat pumps are generally around 300%* efficient - meaning they can provide three times more heat energy than they use.

What are smart controls?

Your Worcester Bosch heat pump will be fitted with the Passiv Smart Thermostat, the latest innovation in smart heat pump control. The Passiv Smart Thermostat increases the efficiency of a heat pump by 17% as verified by the Energy Saving Trust. It can also optimise a heat pump to use cheap electricity from smart energy tariffs and rooftop solar panels.
