How much space do I need for my boiler?
Before purchasing your new boiler, it’s important to consider a few things to make sure your installation goes smoothly. Size, space, and accessibility are the main factors that our team of engineers look at before the job commences. In this guide, we’ll be explaining all the requirements you need and the best ways for you to make certain your new boiler fits exactly where it’s supposed to.
Make way for your new boiler.
For your engineer to do the job properly, there needs to be enough space for them to work. Once you've answered the questions on our journey and selected your boiler, look under the ‘What’s in the BOXT’ section to check your chosen boiler’s dimensions (WxDxH). It’s important there is approximately 20 cm above, 20 cm below, and 60 cm of space surrounding the boiler for clearance. This would be an adequate amount of room for the engineer to work with.
Double check sizing.
When deciding which boiler to purchase, it’s important to consider its size. Especially if you’re moving your boiler to a different location in your home, then measuring the space you want your new boiler and the boiler dimensions would be useful. Usually in the photos you send we can tell if the boiler will fit or not.

The photos don’t have to be anything special, just ensure they’re clear and visible.
